Our client in the Oil and gas business is looking for a Strategy Officer.<\/p>\n
\u2022The Strategy Officer Will be responsible for reporting to the Head of Strategy.<\/p>\n
\u2022 The Strategy Officer requires an individual who can demonstrate and draw on expertise acquired from extensive, varied and progressively responsible experience to support the team in achieving long-range corporate strategic planning and corporate project oversight.<\/p>\n
\u2022 To help the department grow the company\u2019s financial base; to supervise and increase the clientele\/business opportunity scope<\/p>\n
\u2022Responsible for the facilitation and translation of the organisation\u2019s Strategic Plan to the Corporate Strategic Business Plan.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assist in supervising the strategy, research and departmental business plan regularly to ensure tasks and milestones are being achieved promptly and preparation of governance reports, project status reports, presentations, agendas etc. are completed.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Supervising project plans as directed by the Corporate Business Plan of the organization.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Implementing strategies recommended from research based on market posture about competitors and customers and providing reports on their activities and trends to the Manager<\/p>\n
\u2022 A strong strategic analytical focus that guides the development of key performance Indicators to monitor the progress of projects<\/p>\n
\u2022 Maintains project compliance with Council Policy and administrative procedures and highlights any issues to the manager.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Help build project management capability within the organisation through collaboration, leadership support, and generally encouraging the appropriate use of project management techniques by others<\/p>\n
\u2022 Undertakes the supervision of personal development to maintain leading-edge knowledge of analysis techniques, and external trends in a related environment<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assist the department\u2019s management with advice and guidance to build departmental business plans and execute projected goals.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Enforces the Identification, and development, of and easily communicates meaningful business intelligence data to support the team\u2019s recommendation to the organisation\u2019s advancement, as required.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Tracks and reviews KPIs, goals and objectives of the organisation\u2019s corporate workplan<\/p>\n
\u2022 Deploys and maintains a real-time dashboard of Key data on corporate Strategy<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assists manager in developing effective procedures and processes<\/p>\n
\u2022 Assists Manager in analysis as it relates to Strategy development, institutional planning, performance management and quality control;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Perform other duties and special projects as assigned<\/p>\n
\u2022 BSC in Business Management or Strategic planning and equivalent is considered an asset<\/p>\n
\u2022 MSc in Business Management or any business-related course.<\/p>\n
\u2022 MBA or other related professional qualifications are an added advantage<\/p>\n
\u2022 Minimum five (5) years experience as a Strategy Officer or similar position and relevant experience in the Oil & Gas Industry.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Initiative, ability to work independently, set priorities and perform under pressure with accuracy and dedication;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent analytical, drafting and problem-solving skills;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Experience and ability to coordinate multi-dimensional projects;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills;<\/p>\n
\u2022 Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and spoken.<\/p>\n
